Hybris cockpits are using the former cockpit framework which has been replaced by the next generation cockpit framework running backoffice application

CS Cockpit

(Customer Service), accessible from http://localhost:9001/cscockpit/login.zul (on a local installation) is the cockpit used to manage orders and customers, it was originally designed to be used by the customer service from a call center :

  • Single, highly responsive interface
  • Keystroke access for quick access to the relevant information
  • Customer service agent sees the same information as the customer
  • Order / Ticket / Customer management

PCM Cockpit

(Product Cockpit Module), accessible from http://localhost:9001/productcockpit/login.zul (on a local installation) enables cockpit end users to manage and structure product information and catalogs in high-volume and collaborative environments. Product managers can visualize their input from multiple perspectives and make product management processes more efficient.

Import Cockpit

, accessible from http://localhost:9001/importcockpit/login.zul (on a local installation) allow you to define import mappings using intuitive graphical user interface tool. Using the hybris Import Cockpit Module :

  • Create a mapping to import CSV / XML / .. files into Hybris
  • The import cockpit will transform data into impex
  • Schedule imports from a remote server

, accessible from http://localhost:9001/backoffice/login.zul (on a local installation) is the new generation Hybris backoffice application, the backoffice will replace the HMC cockpit (not sure when), it offers more flexibility than the former cockpit framework and a nicer UI. Key points about the backoffice application :

  • It’s highly customizable (xml)
  • It displays the proper application mash-up depending on his business role
  • Every thing can be done from the backoffice application (when connected as an admin)
  • The ybackoffice extension template is used to generate a custom extension within which you implement your own components. These components are then reusable in the Application Orchestrator and in the Web application of the backoffice extension
